The 4.04 patch notes for Valorant have dropped, and it’s looking like the Omen Agent is set to see a massive buff with the new changes.
Omen is a Controller Agent, so he’s excellent at controlling the flow of fights. He’s a super pick for most teams, usually always making his way into Agent compositions. However, the new 4.04 patch notes are set to give a big boost to his playstyle. Here’s what’s changed.
Valorant Omen Buff – Patch Notes 4.04
The official synopsis for the Valorant Omen Buff reads:
“As strategic diversity in VALORANT evolved, Omen has struggled to find his place within the meta. Many of you enjoy his gameplay loop, but have found it increasingly difficult to justify his selection in higher tiers of play. We want to increase his reliability as a Controller by rolling back a selection of early nerfs to Dark Cover, and sharpen his combat-focused abilities.”
As such, his abilities have changed to make him more pliable during firefights.
- Cooldown decreased from 40s to 30s
- Cost increased from 100 to 150
- Projectile Speed increased from 2800 to 6400
- Cost decreased 150 to 100
- Pre teleport delay decreased 1s to 0.7s
- Added forward spawn offset, so players adjacent to Omen are not hit
